Description
I work at NC State University as the Special Education Program Coordinator and assistant teaching professor in Special Education and Educational Psychology. My PhD is in Educational Psychology, and my research interests focus on the relationships between literacy, learning differences, and self-regulated learning (cognitive, metacognitive, and motivational) strategies. I am a former high school and middle school teacher, and I am licensed in North Carolina in the following areas: Special Education - Learning Disabilities, English Language Arts, and Reading. In my private practice, I specialize in working with students with comorbid learning differences, including specific learning disabilities in reading and writing, ADHD, and disorders related to working memory, information processing, and executive functioning.
