Description
Overarching Vision:
Education should be accessible to all kids and individualized regardless of the academic assessments. Kids achieving standard scores of 86-88 should qualify for support.
Mission Statement:
Equipping educators and therapists to help students succeed in school by overcoming the social-emotional trauma associated with illegible handwriting and dysgraphia.
Core Values:
1. Synthesizing Best Practices
a. Research: Because accurate and data-conscious materials are paramount for the success and future of our children.
b. Instructional Models: Because science-driven instruction and remediation of handwriting problems will help all children succeed regardless of their invisible learning disability.
c. Simplification: Because clarity and unity of terminology across a multi-disciplinary environment decrease confusion and trauma and empower learning.
2. Building Community
a. Advocation: Because positive policy changes that promote efficient learning processes will enhance access to learning for all students, including those with an invisible learning disability.
b. Unification: Because relentlessly optimistic approaches promote gratitude, change, and fellowship invoking ground-breaking communication and collaboration on the social-emotional aspects of dysgraphia.
c. Education: Because even though innovation and technology are changing how students learn, for neurological development, handwriting must continue to be included in the learning process.
3. Transforming Perspectives
a. Personal Growth: Because understanding who and whose you are, why you are here, and where you are going impacts your commitment to help students.
"You were put here for such a time as this." ~Mordecai
b. Focus and Flow: Because neuroscience is foundational for concentration and analysis, modeling effective focus and flow strategies to students is important to future success.
c. Wellness: Because by honoring your body, mind, and spirit, both you and your students will experience prosperity beyond your lifetime.
"Live the story you want to tell."
